Turkey ranks 12th in the world in dry onion planting area and 5th in production. While the world dry onion yield is 1,908 kg/da, Turkey's yield is 3,244 kg/da, which is higher than the world average. Our country's 2020 production was 2.28 million tons, and the 2021 production amount increased by 4% to 2.5 million tons.

NAR - POMEGRANATE

Our country's pomegranate production in 2021 was 647 thousand 676 tons and 131 million 980 thousand dollars of revenue was obtained with the export of 177 thousand 695 tons. In the same year, the first three places in our pomegranate exports were Russia, Iraq and Germany. Ukraine, Belarus, the Netherlands, Romania and Croatia are among the other countries we export to.

STRAWBERRY

China leads in strawberry production, followed by Spain in exports and the US in imports. Turkey ranks fifth in global strawberry production and second in exports. Turkey's strawberry production in 2021 was 669,000 tons.
